All blankets have been skirted to the best of our ability and are sold with some vegetation matter still present, these blankets are sold right from the alpacas back and will include a picture of the alpaca to specialize your project.  Staple length on average is 4”! Remember color may very due to computer image.

A little about our raw fiber:

We respect the fact that spinners want clean fiber, so we take the extra time to shop vac each alpaca fleece right before we shorn them in order to get as  much dust and vegetable matter out of the blanket as we possible can. We sell only the blanket fiber with little to no vegetation in it. We do not wash our fiber, for most spinners find that it is easier to spin alpaca without washing the fiber first, we have been told that  it is easier to spin the intact lock, or a lock that has been slightly picked clean.

Pricing for blankets is below and we charge $1.00 an oz for seconds. Seconds can be great for felt making or rug yarn. We offer multiple blanket discounts. So please let us know how we can help you. Also, we will be adding more fiber for sale so be sure to stop back!
